27. Today.
That is a big ol' number. Not really sure how it happened, but its true.
To shake my birthday blues, Jon and Indy took me to Paso Robles for the weekend. We sipped lots of good wine. Enjoyed the scenery. Laughed. Played with Indy. Talked with people. Oh man, it was one of the best trips I have ever been on.
And I am so thankful for to celebrate another year with my little family.

We spent last weekend in Palm Springs. It was the perfect time to relax and soak up some sunshine.
Mr. Indy Harmon even joined us on our trip. He is the perfect travel companion and just so happy to be going away with us.
We enjoyed the putting range. I'd like everyone to know that I (yes, me!) even got a par on one of the holes. Go me.
Even snapped a quick family photo. Nabbing a photo is almost impossible with this group.

We were lucky enough to stage a quick get away to Laughlin for the weekend. Yes, lovely Laughlin. Four hours of drive time is well worth it to see family, spend time on the lake, gamble, and just have plain ol' fashion fun. And that is why I love Laughlin.
I am a sucker for my Aunt's white labrador, Tess. She is too darn scrumptious and sweet. This dog could get away with anything with those eyes.
Eating dinner/breakfast at 2:30AM. Everyone being on their phones at the same time. My brother flipping me off. This is my life.
Enjoying the 113 degrees weather together. Enjoying the cool water. Enjoying excess amounts of sunscreen.
Cousins having deep lake conversations. Consisting mostly of the Housewives of Orange County vs. Housewives of New Jersey. This is serious stuff.
Working the system. Gambling does not come natural to me...you see, I like to keep my hard earned dollars. But I also enjoy getting free drinks. To keep the balance, I like to gamble a small amount of money, while playing video poker. I finished up $5 with too many free vodka cranberries. Winning.

We spent a nice anniversary weekend in Solvang...or as I like to call it, the land of Danish cookies and wine. I had to enjoy a bit of both.
We stayed at the Wine Valley Inn which was just too perfect for words. Who doesn't love sitting by a fireplace and listening to the bell chime. We loved looking through the adorable shops, including Jule Hus (Solvang Christmas store). And we spent way too much time enjoying the many wine tasting rooms and Buttonwood Winery. Oh boy, it was a very happy weekend and a good way to celebrate our two year anniversary!

It was such a beautiful vacation filled with sun, laughter, strawberry daiquiris with rum, rain, paddle boarding, lobster, sunscreen, friends, champagne, bug bites, romance, sunsets, crystal clear water, and relaxation. It could not have been a better 8 days.
And I'm already counting down the days till our next Caribbean vacation!

This week went sure flew by in a New York minute, right? While I am counting down the days till my Caribbean escape, I can't help but want to visit New York next. I'm pretty much in love with my West Coast...but I can't help but looking at NYC inspiration.
Clearly I've spent too much time reading KP's blog and watching Million Dollar Listing: New York. Not to mention countless Sex and the City reruns. Good food+martinis+fashion+city lights.

Now that I've made my vacation reading list, I've compiled a second list...vacation must haves. Sunscreen is an obvious number one. Here are a few other must haves:
Bangles in bright colors from Forever 21. These will match so many of my sundresses and tank tops. They make me happy just looking at them.
Chevron bathing suit from Old Navy. Found this a few weeks ago and had to have it!
Fun sundress by Roxy. Casual yet perfect for vacation.
New eye shadow from Sephora. I've literally scrapped out every last bit of my favorite Stila eyeshadow...now that it's gone, I'll be using my new Sephora palette. I love when makeup comes in a palette, how easy!
Vacation would not be the same without a new lipgloss. This one by Hourglass was recommended to me because its not too sticky and its a bit shear. They weren't lying. Its perfect.
A little jacket in hot orange by Victoria Secret. You may wonder why I might need a jacket in the Caribbean...I am always freezing while flying. This sweet jacket will keep me warm!

12 days till we leave for vacation...can you tell I'm counting down the days?
Since we will be spending most time at the pool, we definitely needed some good books. Book in one hand, pina colada in the other. Life is good. I placed the Amazon order...crossing my fingers these books will keep me interest:
SkinnyDipping by Bethenny Frankel. Because all things Bethenny are amazing.
Chasing Harry Winston by Lauren Weisberger. The title says it all!
White Girl Problems by Babe Walker. I was hesitant on this one until I read some of the reviews. Should be an interesting and light read.
