They Call Me Mellow Yellow

Everywhere I look I see yellow. Yellow sunshine. Yellow vases. Yellow daffodils. Yellow towels. Lots and lots of this pretty color. I see it as a sign of Spring time, which makes me very happy.

Yellow water infuser. I'd been searching for the right pitcher after I got hooked on delicious fruit infused water at my friend's house. And now I can make my very own fruit water. Thank you Target for making it possible.

March Madness.

 

I'm always surprised at how busy the month of March is. Between Jon's cycling and birthdays, it seems like almost everyday has something fun going on!

(Half of my oh-so-exciting work calendar.)

My work calendar has become more of my social calendar. Oh well. Some of my March happenings:

• Junior Achievement at the local Irvine Elementary School. Love my time there. 
• 1 hour of vacation time. So worth it.
• My dear friend's birthday (today!)
• Jon's cycling race in Murrietta. Also, Britt Nicole performing at church...my favorite singer!
• Jon's cycling race in San Dimas...Friday through Sunday. It's going to be a long weekend.
• Another friend's birthday!
• St. Patrick's Day
• "MORE" Conference in Irvine Friday and Saturday. I've been counting down the days to hear Anne Graham Lotz speak. Awesome.
• My aunt and cousin's birthday!
• Amy Tan and Kelly Purkey class at Paper Tales in San Diego. Going to get my craft on!

And these are just the items I know about right now. Who knows what else will pop up. But I do love busy weekends and celebrating birthday's.

PS I Love You

We spent last weekend in Palm Springs for our annual charity bike ride. When I say "our" I mean Jon rides his bike and I relax by the pool. Perfect weekend away. And I sure do love the desert...especially Palm Springs.

Could not take my eyes off the clear blue sky, mountains, and palm trees. So pretty.

Way to go, babe! Jon's team (ShowAir) finished 110 miles in under five hours. In extreme winds, they worked together and finished strong. I'm so proud of Jon...it takes so much discipline to do what he does.

My new favorite thing- SpaFinder gift certificates from Costco. Wonderful.

Sunday the girls and I spent the day at the Andreas Spa. Amazing. Had a fabulous aromatherapy massage.

 

I could lounge in a robe and slippers all day long. It was the perfect way to end the weekend!

A Full Plate

I have a full plate right now. And I don't mean a full plate of dinner...although that sounds pretty good too. 

• Project Life 2012 has yet to be started. I was amped on it at the end of December and have lost the spark. Project Life 2011 is done though.
• Working on a 9x9 album for a co-worker. I should say "will be" working on an album since I have yet to start this project too. Really, really need to start working on this book.
• I've started One Little Word for 2012. First page is done but I'm not sure how much I like it. May need to make some modifications. And I haven't even opened February's email. Yikes!
• Eat Well and Move More class. Oy...I should have known this project was going to get swept under the rug. I dislike eating well and moving. Need to get motivated to work on this project and fix some bad habits.

My list of crafty projects seems to keeping growing. I'm just not feeling the creative spirit. Maybe a scrapbooking day my with my friend? Maybe just starting. Maybe if I get off Pinterest and stop watching my Housewives. Just maybe.

Hello, blog friends. Its been too long since I've posted here...feeling a blog funk. Hoping it passes very soon. Until that time, I'm not up to much...loving every minute of it.

Happy Birthday to Jon

We went to San Diego over the weekend to celebrate Jonathon's 27th (gasp!) birthday. Right after Jonathon asked me out on a date, we celebrated his 16th birthday. Where has the time gone?!!?

Anyways, we went to San Diego with friends to celebrate for the weekend. And stayed in my favorite hotel...so fun and pretty. I figured out that I LOVE writing on chalkboards and sort of want one for our office now. Any ideas of where I could find something like this one?

We walked down to Gaslamp for drinks + dinner and got caught in a gnarly rainstorm. Yes, in beautiful San Diego.

(You have to eat birthday flan!)

We were able to visit the Andaz hotel, which was super nice! The women and men's bathroom share sinks...sort of interesting. We also visited Gaslamp Tavern for some wonderful college football and the Double Deuce for country music. Fun, fun, and some more fun.

Happy birthday, Jon! Today we are celebrating by both taking the whole day off work, sleeping in, and going to Disneyland.
