It had to be you.

I can not believe how fast this week has gone by. It seems like just Sunday I was dreading work...and now its Friday!
I am actually starting to enjoy the new job more. It gets overwhelming at times. But the time flies by, I like that.

We checked out our first wedding place, Irons in the Fire.We really liked it. Its in San Clemente's...which is one of our favorite cities...but quite a commute for our families in Burbank/Arcadia/Monrovia. The room was nice, very pretty. I always envisioned more of an outside wedding though. Anyways, we are keeping it on our list for sure!

It was interesting to see the different table ideas. And taste cake. And drink free wine. And take pictures in the photo booth

I am still not sure how to convince Jon that we need the photo booth...

We also went to see the Ducks play this week. My dad score great tickets and couldn't use them...so we went with Jon's parents! It was a good game, went into overtime and the Ducks won. I am normally not a Ducks fan (Go Kings!!) but they were playing the Calgary Flames...as in Calgary Canada. I guess I don't understand the way sports work... It felt good to have the Ducks win and send the Flames packing, passport in hand.

This Valentines Day weekend we are heading to Palm Springs with the families for the Tour De Palm Springs. Not exactly a romantic get away. But a get away, so I can't complain too much. I am supposedly riding 25 miles...which I have not trained for.

A weekend of good times and good food.

It really seems like all I did this weekend was eat and laugh. Not too shabby.

Friday night started off with Jon and me going to The Waters for dinner. It was ironic because it was raining so hard when we got there. We had planned to go there to eat delicious food and pick our wedding date. Both were accomplished.

 

April 24th 2010. A day we will be looking forward to.

Saturday was a day out with the amazing friends. They took us to The Back Abbey. So much fun! I have a whole new appreciation for Belgian beer. I tried Triple Karmelite, Bovac, and Delerium Tremens. I chose the Delerium because the glass had pink elephants on it. Sweet!

And I chowed down on vegetable soup...perfect for a rainny day and beer drinking.

Sunday consisted of scrapbooking and really enjoying it.  Always good to see Jenn and Erika. And eating delcious Thai food. 
This could easily be a food blog. Yum!

This week we are going to check this place out for the wedding! Can not wait!

• The new job is getting better. It is taking time to get use to it. I know it will happen with time.
• Went to Solvang with the fiance and family. The phrase "the more the merrier" is highly over rated.
• Anyways...he had a race and got in 7th place!! I am beyond excited for him, he eats, breaths, and lives racing. I am impressed by his dedication and passion. And it really did pay off!

• I love the central coast. so beautiful, so chilly. There is something enchanting about driving by winery after winery.
• I love butter cookies. And little danish wood shoes. And windmills. Oh, and him.
• 
• Currently obsessed with Kings of Leon. "Someone like you and all you know and how you speak"...gets me every time!
• Brought home my own baby Zutter. I might open it tonight and test it. I am planning on use this idea. Time to get back to scrapbooking.
