just another manic monday.

It was a manic day. Which totally made me wish I was here instead of working.
Luckily, I was able to go yesterday. And surprisingly, it inspired me. It took 5+ hours for that break through, but I think it occurred.
It wasn't took crowded...and there were several manufacturers not there. I really loved Teresa's stuff and I am set on getting one of those Zutter things! Jenn was there to set me straight when I thought it was a brand new product...guess I have been out of the scrapbooking loop for a while. 
I definitely liked these pretty papers.  And this booth is always filled with nice things.
The highlight of the day had to be this:

I waited in the back of a line and eventually made my way to the front row to see Paris. Her hair is short and super cute...and she wore really cute pink heels. Call it lame, but it made my day at CHA. 

Then I went to pick up Megan from the airport. I was so happy to see her!

I asked her to be my maid of honor with a little treat plus the wedding colors. I was seriously nervous too...almost like I was proposing! Ha! She said yes and I know she will be an amazing person to have with me on the crazy/happy/stressful day. She said I could even be a bridezilla....that is love.

Last weekend was a good one. First, I had the comfort of knowing I had a new job...I will talk about that later. But most importantly, my Megan was coming to stay with me for the whole weekend!! We had pretty specific plans, had to see Bride Wars, go to Sprinkles, shop at our old favorite Styles, and scrapbook. It was a jam packed fun weekend! We even went here and discussed wedding invitations...what would I do without her?!? After such a happy weekend, I am reminded of how much I miss being able to see her when ever I want too.

I pick her up from the airport in a few weeks. Hooray! On a side note, I feel blessed to live less then 10 minutes away from the most fabulous airport ever...so easy to get in and out!

My best bud at work gave me this book this week...so thoughtful and sweet. I am dieing to fill in all of the pages. How ever did she know Martha was my favorite?

So...the job story. On Christmas Eve my boss basically told me to be prepared to find a new job. Nice timing. I was devastated, it definitely made my Christmas a little bit more stressful then it needed to be. After that point, I decided to look extremely hard to find something else. I did not want to be unemployed, but more then anything, I did not want to give them the satisfaction. It took a few weeks, but I finally found a good position. Its marketing and admin...heavy on the admin side. It pays well, is a stable company , and has a lot to offer. It was really hard to leave Balboa...after my entire internship, graduation, and everything else, it felt like I really put my heart into my work. I guess I learned a lesson there. It was hard to say good bye to friends and what I was comfortable with, but it had to be done. I refuse to put up with that kind of stress...so there!?!

I had one day off to relax....and Jon came down with a sudden "cold". We enjoyed the most beautiful day at the beach...so glad we could just enjoy the sunshine together. Sure do love him.

I started the new job today. It was good. And overwhelming. I hope it gets easier.

this is going to be a big week.

my babe surprised me with congratulations flowers. because this week I start a new job with a stable company. i am already anxious to see how it will be...i hope i can do it.

hello 2009!

Christmas was wonderful. Loved spending our first Christmas together. Being together made the holiday's magical. I got lots of good stuff... like a new bike and seasons 1-3 of The Office. Score! 

 

I could seriously get use to short work weeks.

We were lucky enough to celebrate New Years with the greatest friends ever. They are the kind of friends that bring you beautiful engagement baskets with Stella for Jon too. They love wine as much as us too.

We were treated to the most amazing dinner I have ever had. I do not do well with 5 delicious courses...I forgot to pace myself! But really, it was a great dinner. I recommend checking this place out if you are in the area. Beautiful view too.

We got to ring in the New Year with the great friends too. Our second in a row! This year I made it to midnight...much better then last year's madness. Delicious wine, food, and party hats! Happy New Year!

Just when I think it can't get more fun...Jon's parents invited us to go to Vegas with them for the weekend. It was a last minute trip that I could not pass up. Made me think of this good time. We had a great time gambling and exploring the strip. I l-o-v-e-d New York New York. We stopped at the "Bar At Time Square",my favorite of the night by far. It was a great trip to end the Holiday.

Now I am back to the normal work routine. So very dull. Good news...Megan is coming to visit this weekend! We decided a trip here and here is priority. I need my brainstorming partner for planning the wedding.
