reason #572 for loving saturdays

Not only do I get to sleep in but it is also is Farmers Market day.

 

It was the last day for watermelon, which means summer is over. Stocked up on bell peppers, corn (yum!), zucchini, apples, peaches, nectarines, and sour dough bread. I splurged on some delicious organic Costa Rica coffee. Jon found olive oil and vinegar to dip sour dough bread. It makes for a delicious weekend!



And I was lucky enough to spend the evening with my mom and brother. Another reason to love Saturdays.

Simple.

-Had simply a nice day at work. Which is a huge relief, because the last week has been stressful. No frustration, anxiousness, or tears. Just normal work. Thank God.
-Sitting outside at Starbucks, enjoying the nice breeze. Nice.
-I like that the weather is cooling down. Bought a nice sweater in hopes of cold weather soon.
-Smelt a  lovely pine candle today and wanted to melt at the thought of our first Christmas together. Can not wait to buy a tree.
-Just remembered that I have no Christmas gifts yet...maybe I am not that excited for Christmas.
-Ready to go home, relax, and have dinner with Jon.

C'est La Vie

What a crazy/hectic/maddening week at work! Who decided on 2 day weekends...my vote is for an increase in days!

We went to the Fair.
And loved it as always. There is nothing quite like the L.A. fair...the smells, atmosphere, sounds. I just love it, every year!
I scrapped with Jenn...and ran my idea by her. It's always nice to get input from a good and honest friend. More to come soon.
Jon and me ate at C'est La Vie in Laguna Beach. The manager just happened to be sitting outside as we were walking by and convinced us to come in. Yummy desserts and coffee. Jon had raspberry cheesecake, I had  "the bomb" which was a wonderful chocolate mousse cake. To die for. And the ocean view was sweet!
 

Just relaxing at my mom's house today. Went shopping.  Ate yogurt. Life is good. 

it's been too long...

I think this might be one of my longest blog posts ever...

-cant believe its been 7 years...still feels like a fresh wound.

-I moved! I realize I did already post that factoid...but now I have proof:

-I am happy to say that we have actually decorated the apartment now, it is starting to really feel like a home. I love being close to work. I love drinking wine and watching Top Design.  I love coming home to him.

-Frequent trips to Ikea have now halted.

- Still have no internet...but I am content with that. We go places and do things every night, so I don't miss it.

-But we do have cable now.  Which is a blessing because I am obsessed with the Rachel Zoe Project, Project Runway, Property Virgins...

-None of these compare to the Hills which is the show of all shows. This season has been kick ass so far. Lee and me decided that "if" this show were to end...we are not quite sure how life will go on.
-Speaking of the Hills and crew...I happened to be here during Style Week when LC was debuting her fall fashion line. I contemplated crying...because this was my opportunity to see LC finally and I was wearing sweats, flip flops, and felt sick. Not how I want to meet my icon. So I left...bitterly. Lame.

-I've been swamped at work. Swamped. Like, no lunch, cant breath, going crazy busy. But it's better to be busy then not busy. And I am loving it. I love working in marketing...when it comes down to all of this craziness, I find my true passion for it. I am learning and have future opportunities. All is good.

-I do miss this little guy.
 

-I love that the weather is getting a bit cooler. I like fall time. And jackets.

-Speaking of fall time...I am so excited to be taking this class with Christine. Good god...she is talented!

-I am actually scrapbooking again. I went on a bit of a hiatus with working and moving. I needed a breather. I need to sell some stuff. I honestly think my over collecting of scrapbooking supplies is a burden. Thank god my great friends are patient and inspire me to get back at it.

-With the Holidays quickly approaching...I starting to think of gift ideas...and even developing an idea...hopefully more to come soon.

- 2 weddings in November. One in Vegas for Rainna. One in G-town for Will. Cant believe all my friends are getting married...maybe someone will take the hint.

-But even if he were to take the "hint"...I would have no time to plan a wedding. So there.

-Christine, you will be happy to know that I bought more plates! We know have a matching set of 8. I know you will be proud.

-Cant believe its been 4 months since graduation. I can honestly say I do not miss school one bit. I miss my dorm, I miss sleeping in, I miss food being prepared for me, and most of all I miss seeing them everyday:
 

-Went to Laughlin a few weeks ago. So nice to get away. Good times bonding with my cousin, sipping LA Waters, and dancing the night away. Nothing compares to family.
  

-Going to the Island tonight. Its been a long time. I have been eyeing this coat online...and plan on coming home with it tonight!

-Thank you friends who still read my blog...even with my lack of posting. I will work on it. Promise!

-Time to head home.
